Navigating Modern Relationships

Strong relationships do not happen by accident. They are the result of effort and, at times, intentional work. While it is natural for partnerships to encounter different phases and chapters as they mature, these challenges often become cycles of disconnection that can feel difficult to break.

I want to hear what is important for each you. We will try to uncover the patterns that repeat between you. Sometimes, these patterns are great and encourage connection; other times, we want to experiment with each of you trying something different. Maybe there is a possibility to stay connected, even when you’d like different things.

We all have differences with our partners. It might be the way a household chore is done, the frequency of sex, when we want to move house or start a family. Or perhaps your career is flying, but you don’t feel connected with your partner at all. It’s like you’re housemates, or ships passing in the night. You sometimes feel alone in your relationship.

These differences and experiences can feel difficult and uncomfortable, maybe even painful; here is the person who you want to be with but it feels like you’re not aligned on the important topics.

In our sessions, we can have calm, safe space for those layered, sometimes complicated, conversations. We work towards you each feeling heard, and understanding what you’d like and why, before we begin to bridge the gap and find a way for you each to take the next step forward.
